Starry Nights Carriage Ride

We had  our plans change for the Saturday before Christmas, so we decided to get Noah and Hunter (so mom and dad could help Santa put together their Christmas toys).  We watched the Grinch who stole Christmas and Frozen, then we decided to go to Starry Nights.  Well, I had always wanted to get a Cinderella carriage, so this year we finally broke down and got one.  Dwayne, Annabeth, Noah, Hunter, Austin, Jessie and Myself went.  It was so much fun (although I would recommend next year going earlier in the evening just for the kids sake).
we loved the carriage, althought next year, I would recommend getting a carriage where both rows face forward or get a hayride.  the people riding with their backs to the front did not get to see as much.

whenever Jessie and Austin are around, there is lots of laughter......oh and Singing.  Everyone on THAT side of the carriage sang a rowsing rendition of Elvis's White Christmas.

Kermit the Frog even rode with us

Hunter loves him some Jessie

I should get Mimi of the year for remembering that glow sticks, necklaces and bracelets that I had forgotten at Halloween, so they were able to wear them on the carriage ride.

The funniest thing that was said was at the beginning, we have never done the VIP entrance or ridden a carriage before, so it was all new to us.  Well you get on the carriage at the horse barn and you go all the way down the back to the front Walnut grove entrance, then you get in with the rest of the cars, well as we are going down this little road to the front, there is one string of white lites going down the fence line, and Jessie, as seriously as she could, said "Wow, the lights are a little sparse this year".  I thought I was going to roll out of the carriage laughing.  It was so funny.

I think everyone seemed to enjoy themselves.  That is what Christmas is about - making memories.  Hopefully next year Sarah will be off work and be able to go with us.  It was great fun.
