We decided to honor Granny in a special way

These were some of Granny's easter eggs and Christmas ornaments that Granny made, along with her quilted placemats.
This was the butterfly quilt that Granny made for momma (Barbara Ann)
These were a few of her other quilts.  In the latter years, the leaf quilt was used as her bedspread in the fall, and the green gingham quilts was used as her spring time bedspread.
She made this Owl quilt for Momma (B.A.) and won a ribbon at the Mid South Fair with the quilt.
These were my baby quilts that Granny made for Nathan, Sarah, Austin and Annabeth.
Above the quilts is a doiley that Granney "tatted" and had framed for Momma.

I will miss you Thugaboo

Granny became a feisty little old lady these last few years.  These are just a few things that made me laugh about her.....she always carried a "little old lady" purse FULL of junk.....anything from scissors, many different condiments, including the salt and pepper shakers that she swiped....even a compass like we used in 5th grade.....why she needed that, I have no idea.  Then there were her little boyfriends at "the home".  She was a mess.  I will miss her making me laugh and calling me her "Silly Kid".

Granny went home to be with the Lord

I sure did love my little Granny.  When I was a little girl, she use to "let" me dust for her.  I loved dusting her little coke bottle collection with LOTS of pledge spray.  She always had little bottles of coke on hand as well as little bowls of jello with cool whip.  I learned so much from her and I am thankful that in the last few years since momma died, that I was able to help Porgy care for her.  She died just a little over a week before her 91st birthday.

I love you Granny, and I miss you.
