New Years Eve 2014

Dwayne was gone to Atlanta for the Peach Bowl....unfortunately, Ole Miss did not win, but Annabeth and I went to eat at the Macaroni Grill

After we went to eat and go see Mary Jo in the hospital, I went to the funeral home for Robert Hemphill's mother.  Austin said I looked like I was going to a University of Memphis basketball game....that boy!

Austin went out with Kelsey Blackwell for New Year's Eve

Our New Camera

Dwayne said we could use our Christmas money from Daddy and Marilyn to buy a new camera.  I love it!!!!  It is a Nikon L330.......I don't guess it is very fancy if you are a photographer, but it is so much more than my Kodak Easy Share that I have had for years.

Here are a couple of pictures that I took tonight....Skipper and his dirty little face, and Annabeth looking over the fridge door.  She really did not want her picture taken and the kitchen is a mess, but she is beautiful and the kitchen can wait, so here you go.

Christmas 2014

No matter how many toys we buy, they still love the old pillow case Super Hero Capes that they play with at our house.

Pawpaw is always handy to have around, he has a pocket knife to open the boxes.

Noah let Peepaw try on his camo cap

2 silly little boys

My Sarah

Noah has a very special place in his heart for Mawmaw Conlee

Aunt Rhonda got Austin this leather jacket....he looks like Michael Jackson....well sort of.

It was a teenage mutant ninja turtle kind of year.

Annabeth and Pawpaw Lanier

Annabeth and Skipper (who looks like he has been digging out in the back yard)

Grand Marilyn, Noah and Rhonda looking at a video
Mawmaw Conlee made the boys aprons because they love to help cook.

Even Noah loves to help cook
Austin thought he might like to cook as well

that boys is a silly little thing

Annabeth picking out a movie for the evening
Opening presents

Noah's TMNT burps....he thought it was really funny/

Annabeth loves Sarah's kitten Bobby Boudreaux

Austin had to try out Noah's tent

Annabeth in Noah and Hunter's toy room.....I am certain they were not quite this good.

Our three children
all that is left is a big pile of paper....can we take the tree down now?

nothing more sad than a naked tree after all of the gifts have been opened.

Momma's special gift

Today was the 5th anniversary of Momma's death.  In memory of her, I wore my special necklace that she gave me her last Christmas that we shared.

She knew that her time on earth was short, she was on hospice, and she wanted to give each of us something special for Christmas that year.  She found these Kay Jewelry's Open Heart Collection Angel necklaces.  She got one for each of us girls in the family to always feel her close in our hearts.  She also got Austin an engraved pocket watch and Dwayne an engraved money clip.

She made Dwayne promise that if her time was drawing near, that we were to move Christmas up and let her see us open our special gifts.  The hospice nurses told us that time was getting close, so we all went over on December 20th and had a special time together.  It was crazy, momma had been mostly unresponsive for a couple of days, but she woke up to open those presents.  As you can imagine, there were lots of tears shed, but it was a sweet time.

I will always treasure her gift to me, but more than that I will cherish the legacy that she left behind of being kind, caring, loving, giving, loud, funny, she was more than my momma, she was my friend.  I miss her.

Noah & Hunter ready for church December 2014

Don't mind the photo bombing kittens on the gift bag between them.

such a big boy with those glasses

Annabeth did not get the memo to be Christmas themed, but she looks so cute all of the time anyway.

Noah is always loving on everyone and wants to be in everyone's pictures.  Hunter you will usually find off in a corner with his arms crossed and his lip poked out saying "I don't want to"!!!!

Noah with his best friend PeePaw

this was a picture that Hunter did want to have taken.....could not be outdone when it comes to special PeePaw time.

I thought this turned out really cute!

we are twins with matching glasses.

this is one exhausted Mimi after getting everyone - myself included - ready for church.  We were only a little bit late for Sunday School.
