We were looking for a nice inexpensive place to stay for a couple of nights in Hot Springs. I found this little gem and it had 4.5 out of 5 stars on every site that we looked at. It was an old travel lodge that was bought and renovated like a bed and breakfast. Each room is different. The only thing is there is no Breakfast.....well a little continental breakfast of muffins, granola bars and juice, but well worth the money. We stayed in the Fleur de Lis cottage and this is it right here. Lovely little place.
These are more of the rooms, that look more like an older motel, but all of the rooms are renovated.
They have a nice outdoor garden.
a pool
a nice porch out by the pool that we sat at night.
It had a little kitchenette area.
They even had a REAL KEY!!!!
This little fern to the right reminded me of my Mawmaw Thorne's fern that won at the Mid-south fair.
A little front porch sitting on a breezy September night. It was 70 degrees and lovely.
Tearing down one of the old hotels down town.
The arlington
The Quapaw Bath House. The owners of the inn are members here, so they gave us gift certificates for use of the four thermal pools. It was really like 4 big pools with varying temperatures of hot water. The pools had ledges all around and you just soak in the pools. It was very relaxing. They had other spa services, but we could not make an appointment on such short notice. So we just soaked.
I guess Bill Clinton was in the marching band.
Bill must have been born in Hope, AR and grew up in Hot Springs, AR.
People were getting jug after jug of that mineral water.
