Sugar Bowl - Ole Miss vs. Baylor - January 1, 2022

So, Ole Miss made it to a Bowl and since we had a long weekend, we decided to get tickets to go to the Sugar Bowl in New Orleans.  Unfortunately, I coughed the entire way down there and was quite miserable.  We checked into the hotel and I was fairly certain I must have Covid, but with it being a holiday weekend, there was no place to get tested and no home tests to be found from the searching I did online.  We had a suite since I work night shift and get my nights and days mixed up alot.  Gratefully, Dwayne just hung out on the sofa sleeper and watched football bowl games with the sound turned off and I stayed in bed all weekend.  He brought food in to me but I was really short of breath and did not feel like eating much.  We did venture out to see Lake Ponchatrain so I could at least say I did something and the 12 hour round trip in the car was not for nothing.  Dwayne ended up going to the game by himself and I stayed in the hotel.  Once I got home I took a home covid test and it was negative.  I went to get a Covid PCR test at work the following day and it was negative too, so it was just regular ole winter upper respiratory infection.

in true NOLA style, Dwayne had jambalaya at the stadium

I hated we had to waste the ticket, but I would not have been much fun, plus you can't cough in public these days.

the few minutes at the Lake.........this picture is beautiful, but deceiving.  The water was really brown.
