Servant's Heart Quartet at the Peabody

Patiently Waiting

this for sure looks like a CD cover.........thanks Austin for the great idea.

it was so windy, our rooftop pictures did  not really turn out.

this was sort of a neat idea...........I like it.

Softball..............yep, I still got it!!!

Dwayne started playing softball this season with Agape Baptist Church.  It was great to get to visit with old friends.  We went this afternoon to the batting cage and he batted a few rounds.  He let me bat a round and I must say I did not do too bad..............especially considering that I never was very good.  It felt good though to hit the ball.

Servants Heart Quartet sings at the Memphis Union Mission

The guys did a concert this weekend at the Memphis Union Mission..............wow, what an amazing time.  I have never seen people so receptive to an invitation.  I just wept.  It was beautiful.

It gave a whole new meaning to "Take it to the Cross"

Austin goes to see Madea On the Run

Austin, Luke and Cody went to see Madea on the Run this weekend.....front row seats.  I told Austin that I know that Tyler Perry will notice them and their white tails laughing that little hyenas on the front row.  Austin said that during the first act that a lady sitting behind them was late for the show, Madea broke character and told the spot light operator to shine on her.  She asked the lady why she was late, and why she wasn't punctual like those 3 fine young men on the front row.  Then after the curtain call, Austin said that Tyler came to the front row and asked what their names were, if it was their first time to see Madea and how they liked the show.  As you can imagine they were all three on cloud nine.  Then imagine their surprise when Tyler Perry gave them a shout out on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram.  I am awestruck my own self!

Love this Nail Polish

I decided to go to the Spa House in Bartlett for a little routine maintenance....especially since it is now Flip Flop weather.  I fell in love with this light pink color.  My old favorite was an OPI color called "It's A Girl".  This is made by Dare to Wear and it is called "True Honesty" (reminds me of the old perfume Sweet Honesty that I wore as a young girl).

Austin's Headshots for his summer internship

Austin has accepted a Summer Internship at the Porthouse Theater at Kent State University in northern Ohio........he will be almost 800 miles away for 12 weeks.  The theater is near Lake Erie.  It is an outdoor ampitheater.

The shows that they are doing this summer are:
A Little Night Music, Violet, and Hairspray

very traditional

more of a dramatic feel

my sweet boy....he looks grown up here.

probably one of my favorites.....his eyes are so blue.
and just for comparison.........this is his senior picture just a couple of years ago........he was such a baby face.

Annabeth and her friend Amanda

There was a lot of blue at Lakeland First Baptist Church yesterday, and I guess the popular dress style this year was a tank top dress with a lace overlay.  I found this little dress for Annabeth at Target for $20 (it included the belt).  You can't beat that  price at all.  Her friend, Amanda had on a navy lace dress with belt too.  Such sweet Godly young ladies.  They are learning so much from their "manners" class that was taught by the pastor's wife, Kellie Hodges, Annabeth told me how she was taught to cross her legs...it was so sweet that she cares about modesty.
