Jersey Boys Movie

Who knew how handy those shirts would come.  From the time we heard Jersey Boys was going to be made into a movie back in the winter, we made plans to go on opening night of the movie.  We LOVED it.  It was not quite as theatrical, not as much dancing and music (which is my favorite part), but it was still Jersey Boys after all, and much cheaper than a live production ticket.  I will for sure own the DVD when it is available.  Thanks, Austin and then later in the evening Dwayne for going with me and singing along.
Oh What A Night!!!
This is from the movie trailer.  The actor playing Frankie Valli is John Lloyd Young.  We actually saw him last summer on Broadway in Jersey Boys playing the same part.
This is the play bill that all of the Boys signed for me last summer.
Dwayne said when he was watching the movie, he could not help but think that I had met John Lloyd Young.

My attempt at being artsy

Footprints in the Sand

I love this sunrise picture that I took.  I did not notice until I uploaded the picture, but  if you look closely in the left bottom of the picture, you can see the footprints in the sand.  I could not help but be reminded of the poem of the same name.

One night I dreamed I was walking along the beach with the Lord. Many scenes from my life flashed across the sky.
In each scene I noticed footprints in the sand. Sometimes there were two sets of footprints, other times there was one only.
This bothered me because I noticed that during the low periods of my life, when I was suffering from anguish, sorrow or defeat, I could see only one set of footprints, so I said to the Lord,
“You promised me Lord,
that if I followed you, you would walk with me always. But I have noticed that during the most trying periods of my life there has only been one set of footprints in the sand.
Why, when I needed you most, have you not been there for me?”
The Lord replied, “The years when you have seen only one set of footprints, my child, is when I carried you.”

Orange Beach Vacation - June 2014

He has made his nest.

We had 2 really good days that we could swim in the ocean....well except for the fact that there was a "swarm of sharks" just a couple of miles up the beach and the beach was closed East of us.  I was sure hoping that those darn sharks could read a compass.

Annabeth under the fountain in the pool.  I guess it is true, a fountain will cool the water off a lot.  it was quite cool.

The boy loves to read.

Ain't he cute with his sun kissed face??

yep...........reading

As always, Annabeth and I had manicures.

and pedicures....plenty of colors to choose from.  She had dark turquoise on her hands and dark blue on her toes.

she reads too...this is one of her finds while we were there.  a lite blue swim suit.  It is a really cute tankini.

Goofy!

something about the wind and air, but my hair was a mess.  Dwayne's always looks the same.  I was watching the show 19 kinds and counting and I think Dwayne and Jim Bob have sort of the same hair cut.

This day the waves were high and Annabeth and I got knocked down once and that was enough.  We have a healthy fear of the ocean.  We just parked our chairs by the water and let the waves roll in onto our feet.

Austin was going to take a full length picture of me.  I said "no son, you gotta take it from the waist up, I have too much meat with this dress on".  He said "Don't you have any SPANX?????"   This is a conversation I never expected to have with my 19 year old son.

please note the Lumpy Space Princess ear phones from the show Adventure Time....oh and shades on in the house.

such a pretty girl.

It did rain one time while we were at the beach.  This was a scary looking cloud.  It was funny how quickly the beach and pool cleared when it started sprinkling......were they afraid they would get wet???  The lightening that night over the beach was like a natural firework show.

Just us

I have got to make this....it was in our condo
