Jersey Boys - Playhouse on the Square

After the week we had. We saw Jersey Boys at the Playhouse on the Square.  We were sad that we did not get to go to California to see Austin's show come to life, but it was still fun.  Special thanks to a friend from work who gave us these tickets.

We don't get the see the boys as often as we would like, but we try to go every couple of months.  Dwayne and Annabeth went to visit while I worked and they got a hotel with a pool.  They all had so much fun.

Austin's Shenanigans

Austin is definitely our dramatic child.  He is a mess for sure, but I sure do love and miss him.

I can always count on him to make me laugh, sometimes cry, but always rub my feet.  He will talk about how crusty they are, but he will still put lotion on them for me.

Austin's friend Will came to visit Memphis while he was here.  He was such a fun guy to have around.

Hurricane Priscilla

We had a terrible storm with "straight line winds" that came through.  It blew over a huge oak tree from our next door neighbors yard onto Dwayne's car.  We were 10 hours away from boarding a plane to California to visit Austin.  Power was out and needless to say we had a lot of business to tend to at home so we had to cancel the trip.  Our car was totaled.  It was a mess!!!!

in true Dwayne fashion, he really liked the Journey, so he got a new one.  This time Ole Miss color instead of the Cowboys :O)

well.....we got hit by Covid

We had had an arctic blast at Christmas and Rhonda and Grand Marilyn were under the weather so we did not get together with the Thorne side of the family at Christmas.  Then Austin went to Chicago for New Year's Eve so we waited until the following weekend to have our family Christmas brunch.

All was well, it was lovely.  My 4 were here (Sarah and Justin had to work so could not come).  Dad and Marilyn came, and Rhonda came.  It was a small but nice little gathering.  We had the traditional Christmas breakfast of cinnamon rolls, hash brown casserole, and lots of other goodies.  Annabeth had a headache, but nothing unusual for her.

By that evening she was running a fever and tested positive for covid.  We were heartbroken for her and scared for the rest of us. Austin had just spent the entire day with Mawmaw, Angela and Aunt Sandra, so potentially exposed them.

Long story short, as of today a week later, Austin, Annabeth and myself have gotten it.  Dwayne someone missed it, but I am grateful for that.  Daddy got it, but Marilyn did not.  Rhonda, Mawmaw Conlee, Angela and Aunt Sandra did not get it.

I am going stir crazy in that little bedroom upstairs.
