one last St. Jude photo
I shall bore you with one more photo. This one is of me crossing the finish line. Not exactly like one in a running magazine, but I am not holding my side in pain and my ponytail was actually flying in the wind. I really was trying to run.

Beautiful Song
As I prepared for the St. Jude race recently and also as we have dealt with things going on in our lives, I have claimed the verse Isaiah 40:31.
I heard this song last night and I thought it was beautiful. Please click the link below to go to the video. It is definitely worth watching.

Christmas 2016
I have been on weight watchers almost a full year. I have come a long way, still not at my goal weight, but still working towards it. Thanks to all of your for your encouragement along this journey. I appreciate all of your support.
My First St. Jude 10K
When I first started Weight Watchers in December of 2015, the only exercise that I got was water aerobics. I would get short of breath just walking to the parking garage at work. Fast forward to December of 2016, and I proudly did the St. Jude 10K. I raised money for the kids at St. Jude and I ran and walked the full 6.2 miles. I was so proud of our Team Turtle. 4 people on our team started a weightloss journey in December of 2015, we have lost a combined total of 300 pounds. We have come a long way that is for sure. I was glad to get to share this great accomplishment with them.

This was on the news, this was the crowd waiting to start.
needless to say with our slow pace, we were at the rear at the start.
I loved the little St. Jude logo of praying hands painted on the street.
can you see the bridge behind us?
There were cool signs along the route. My favorite was a teen age boy in the St. Jude campus, his said "Run Faster, We are Freezing", then a girl had one that said "Worst Mannequin Challenge Ever"....ha!!! I thought they were cute.
We stopped on Danny Thomas Blvd to take a pic with the St. Jude Hospital in the background.
over between the VA hospital and Regional One (The MED), my sister Rhonda came to cheer us on.
We did it!!!!
very proud moment, even if I am wearing a fanny pack.
I wanted to sleep with that metal.
