Old Rugged Cross

As I look toward Holy week, I am reminded of the cross that I wear around my neck and the cross hanging in the den, and I think of the movie that we just saw "Do You Believe?"....do you believe in the cross and what it stands for???  The answer is yes, I do believe.  The best part about my cross is that it is empty, He paid the price and rose again.  That is where the promise is for me.

No Sew Pillow Cover

I saw this video on Facebook and I had some old pillows that were stained and the buttons pulled off, so I decided to try.  I really wanted a navy blue or dark red chevron pattern, but I could not find any Chevron at Hobby Lobby or Hancock Fabrics.  I will continue to look because I am not a fan of this pattern when it is on the diagonal......It was ok horizontal, but it looks a little much like something reptilian (is that even a word????)....so I will continue to look for my beloved Chevron.

Thank you for helping us spread our wings

This is a little artwork that Noah and Hunter and I did.............I will say making footprints is much easier on babies that are NOT quite as mobile.  2 little boys with different colored paint on their feet can lead to disaster, but I loved spending time with them.

I love MONKEYS!!!

Seeing the monkeys in Primate Canyon reminded me of the funny TV shows and movies that had monkeys, orangutans, and chimpanzees...............they are so cute.  I always wanted a baby monkey growing up.

Spring Break 2015

During Annabeth's Spring Break, we took Cori and stayed overnight at the Quality Inn ..... they have an indoor pool and hot tub.

Noah loved swimming

Hunter is a floater

they had a good time.

The next day, Annabeth, Cori and I went to the Memphis zoo.  Annabeth had not been since kindergarten on a school trip.  It was  a rainy yucky day, but it was not crowded at all....gotta see the positive in everything.

Cat Country

these birds had funny looking beaks

Whooooooo..........are you looking at????

this was stamped in the concrete outside of Stingray Bay....I touched a stingray, it was VERY slimy.

the flamingos look like little pink princesses

these pelicans were all napping

Shake, shake, shake......shake your booty.

I am SOOOOOoooo hungry!

Panda at the all you can eat buffet.

we saw the sea lion show.....do you know the difference in a seal and a sea lion????   Sea Lions have ears like cat lions.

these had furry antlers

My favorite giraffe was named after me.......sorta.......Angela Kate :O)

it had been raining and all of the orangutans had towels....this girl was drying off and she dropped her white and pink flowered towel on the ground by the time I got the lens cap off of the camera.
Reminded me of the old TV show "BJ and The Bear", and the movie with Clint Eastwood "Every Which Way But Loose"

I LOVE Primate Canyan..........it is my favorite place in the zoo.

it was lunch time
