Thanksgiving 2017

We always light momma's candle for those that have gone on before us, but this year, our family was hit hard with loss.  Prayers for those mourning the loss of Uncle Howard, Aunt Jackie and my brother in law Tony.

Ever Faithful CD - Dwayne & Kay

The guys had been on us to make a CD since Jeff and Kenneth each had a solo CD, so we decided to make a duet CD with Jeff and Kenneth doing back ground vocals on a few songs.

Dwayne loves it MUCH MORE than I do....I get very nervous and I am very super critical of the sound.

We should have used this for the CD - Ha!!!!  When we did our SHQ photo shoot, we'd asked the photographer to do a few of just us....these crazy, silly boys did a photo bomb!!!

This is what we decided on for the cover - I think!!!

We changed out "He Keeps Me Singing" and added in "I Have Not Forgotten" for Uncle Layton.  He loves the Inspirations and he is a big supporter of SHQ.  We love you Layton.

Not to sound morbid, but my prayer is that one day our kids and grandkids will cherish this recording.  What I would not give to hear my momma's voice today.   

The CD is set to release in January 2018.

Sarah and Justin

Sarah has met a great guy and we could not be more happy for them.  Meet Justin.  He is a Christian guys, he's a hard worker, he loves the Cardinal's and Redbird's baseball and even took us to a game, his blood runs orange for University of Tennessee (we can live with that because Rhonda is a UT fan too), he is very patient with the boys and seems to really care for Sarah.  All that I want is for her to be happy and she and the boys to be loved and cared for.

 I had seen this on Facebook and loved the idea, especially since we don't put up Christmas light and Annabeth LOVES the Grinch!!!!  I thought I would try it.

I drew the Grinch on paper.  It is not great, and I wish his belly was bigger, but I think it will be OK.

Max turned out pretty good I think.

I cut them out of plywood.

I had planned to do Cindy Lou Who as well, but she was really thick and didn't look ANYTHING like the cartoon character so she went to the woodshed :O)

I don't think they turned out too bad.  When Christmas gets closer and we start decorating, I will update the picture.
